Wave 1 — The Kitsune of Tsukikiri
Before the world had names, there was a realm where shrine fires met shadow. The kitsune walked there. They walk there still.
One hundred fifty boxes. Four spirits. One realm before time.
Tsukikiri — The Realm Before Time
Tsukikiri (月霧) means moon mist. It is not a place on any map. It is the seam — the thin air between mountain and shrine, between memory and dream, where spirits move through every age unseen.
Long before the cities, before the roads, before the world had named itself, the kitsune kept the unseen places. They listened at the edge of firelight. They watched from the cedar line. Some grew old enough to grow new tails. Some grew old enough to forget how many they once had.
Wave 1 is ancient Tsukikiri. The first generation. The spirits the world forgot first.
The Four Spirits
Each kitsune carries its years in tails. One century, one tail. The longer they walk, the more of the realm they hold inside them.
Spirit Pup — One Tail

A century old. Curious. Half mischief, half listener. The Pup lingers near shrine offerings and watches travelers from the moss line. The youngest of the realm — but the realm is older than the world, and a century in Tsukikiri is no small thing.
The Guardian — Six Tails

Six centuries of patience. The Guardian keeps the gates between Tsukikiri and the waking world. Where the Pup watches, the Guardian decides. Travelers who pass the cedar line pass because the Guardian let them.
The Nine-Tailed Sovereign — Nine Tails

Nine centuries. The full crown. The Sovereign is not a ruler in the way kingdoms understand the word — they are a presence, a weight in the air, the shape the realm takes when it remembers itself. The gold halo is not ornament. It is the years.
Shiro — The Crown Jewel

One tail. By choice.
Shiro is older than the Sovereign. Older than the Guardian's gate. Old enough to have worn nine tails and shed eight of them — not lost, shed — the way a god might set down a crown that no longer fits a quieter form.
Ancient enough to walk upright. Pale enough to pass for the moon mist itself. Shiro is the apex of Wave 1 — a static display piece, the crown jewel, the rarest pull. One in ten boxes carries Shiro home.
What Ships in Your Box

One hand-printed kitsune figure. One lore card — the spirit's name, their tails, their place in Tsukikiri. Sealed. Blind. One of one hundred fifty.
You do not know which spirit walks home with you until you open the box. The lore card ships with your box. The figure is yours to keep.
The Founders Cohort
Pre-orders open May 18, 2026. Fulfillment ships June 2026.
Every figure is hand-printed in Devon's studio — one print bed at a time, one box at a time. There is no warehouse. There is no factory. There is one printer, one founder, and one hundred fifty boxes.
The founders cohort is the first hundred fifty collectors to walk into Tsukikiri. There will be other waves. There will be other realms. But there is only one first.
The Numbers
- 150 boxes total. No restock. No reprint. No second run.
- $14.99 per box. One figure inside. Blind variant.
- 1 in 10 boxes contains the Shiro chase variant.
- Hand-printed in Devon's studio. Ships June 2026.
- Sell-out closes Wave 1 forever. The kitsune do not return.
When the last box ships, the realm closes behind it. Wave 2 will rise from a different shore of Tsukikiri — different spirits, different age, different shape of the world. The kitsune of the first generation walk only once.
Walk Into Tsukikiri
The waitlist opens the gate. Founders cohort gets first access on May 18 — before public, before stockouts, before the chase pulls thin the realm.
